수컷 나방은 모든 신경을 오직 자신의 소명, 즉 멀리 떨어진 암컷 나방을 만나 짝짓기를 하고 자신의 2세를 생산하는 자신만의 목표에 집중합니다. 별빛을 아름답다고 여기는 다른 이들의 시선에 흔들리지 않고, 자신의 방향에 온전히 몰입합니다.
만약 수컷 나방이 남들이 꿈꾸는 별을 목표로 날아 갔다면 별에 도착하지도 못하고, 암컷 나방도 만나지 못했을 것이다. 죽음이 임박해서야 방향이 틀렸음을 깨닫겠지만 그떄는 이미 늦었다.
Male moths focus all their senses solely on their calling: to find a female moth located several kilometers away, mate, and produce offspring. Unwavering, they do not get distracted by others admiring the beauty of starlight; instead, they immerse themselves entirely in their direction.
Had the male moth aimed for the stars that others dream of, he would have reached neither the stars nor the female moth. Only when death nears would he realize the direction was wrong — and by then, it would be too late.
